Gourmet May Lettuce

An assortment of lettuces designed especially for your garden, timed to be enjoyed in the late-spring for a variety of tasty uses! Transplant these little plugs into an area that doesn’t get too much harsh sun, and you’ll enjoy crispy leaf lettuce of several shapes, and colours until the heat takes over and causes them to bolt. Why grow one lettuce when you can grow some of the most popular all at once!? 6-pack.
Muir June Lettuce

Do your lettuce needs continue into burger season? Mine too! Take a look at Muir, one of the most heat resistant lettuces you can grow! Pick this one if fresh lettuce is a priority for you into June and July. It resists bolting better than others, and maintains a sweet, instead of bitter flavor longer. Top recommended by professional lettuce growers in hot areas. 6-pack.

In Chatham-Kent, pansies do best between April 15th and July 1st. They offer the best late-spring colour, and are very easy to grow. A few will return the following spring with some basic care! Some violas and pansies have an amazingly sweet floral scent, so make sure to give them a smell! I find orange, yellow, and dark purple smell best!

The BEST Strawberry Plants in Ontario!

I’ve sourced crowns of a very popular, high-yielding, day-neutral variety known for producing large, sweet, firm, conical red berries from late spring through fall. It thrives in our local heat, and offers excellent disease resistance making it ideal for fresh eating, baking, and preserves. This one is often regarded as the best all around strawberry you can grow. They are commonly found growing at farms, but can be tricky to find for gardeners to grow at home.
- Albion #1 Grade Crown Strawberry Plants
– LARGE #1 CROWN – SOURCED FROM QUEBEC
- Upgrade on my previously grown “Seascape”.
Spray-Free Novelty Herbs – GROWN IN DRESDEN.

The herbs you’ll find at Tee’s Plants are novel, and simple to grow! As a massive bonus, most of these herbs are amazing bee treats once they begin to flower.
Note: Basil plants are sold at an optimal transplant stage, which might appear smaller than what you would typically find at a commercial nursery. This is done specifically to help reduce premature flowering, and to produce better yields comparatively, with better flavor and aroma intensity. Basil does not like the cold, nor does it like transplant shock. Trust me on this one! The basil transplants are typically under 6″ tall to maintain optimal vegetative growth! They each come with 2-3 separate plants in each pot to fill out nicely, and maximize your success!
Everleaf Emerald Tower Basil – A variety bred for its towering heights, and impressively late flowering, delayed well into the summer up to 12 weeks more than usual. Up to 36″ tall!
Dolce Fresca Basil – An award winning variety bred for its neatness, this specimen produces bushy plants with very typical Genovese flavor and appearance with great yields. Up to 14″ tall!
Everleaf Lemon Basil – The first lemon basil with an extended harvest, check out this cultivar which delays flowering 8 weeks longer than typical varities! Up to 36″ tall!
Bonsai Basil – The tiniest basil you have ever seen, coming in at less than 12″ tall, Bonsai’s small leaves produce full sized basil flavor. A pleasant surprise from a pretty plant!
Classic Chives – A very easy herb to grow, and the harvests are so much better than what you can buy! Beautiful purple flowers welcome hundreds of bees each spring! Utilize this herb to introduce classic chive and onion taste into countless dishes. As a bonus, it’s a perennial and will return with minimal effort!
Classic Thyme – Thyme smells so nice, it’s hard to skip. This classic herb grows into small cascading piles of fragrant foliage! As a perennial, it will return each year with a bit of help and trimming!
Greek Oregano – Classic oregano, found in many Italian dishes! Pretty purple flowers, also a perennial that can return with some care!
Zaatar Oregano – A unique herb that has notes of marjoram, thyme, and oregano in one plant!
Long Island Mammoth Dill – This dill is bred for its towering heights, massive harvests, and impressive flowers! Best option for bees and butterflies, reaching up to 2 meters tall!
Hera Dill – This dill is bred for its neat growth habit, making simple harvests effective and appealing. Resists flowering for 2 weeks longer than its competition, and boasts smaller plants up to 30″ tall.
Annuals – GROWN IN DRESDEN.
Annuals are flowers that don’t typically return next year. However, several can! Flowers like marigolds and sunflowers develop and drop seeds of their own. In the right conditions, they will germinate by surprise as “volunteer” plants the following spring. Annuals are great for dense, vivid colour, and they typically come in a wide variety of colours. What makes Tee’s Plants’ annuals special? Simply put, I grow cultivars that are novel, award winning, and difficult for commercial nurseries to compete with at different form factors. By avoiding sunken costs for things like toxic sprays and expensive growth regulators, Tee’s Plants translates to a holistically unique experience for you, your family, and your plants.

My Beacons are better than others, since they are significantly more mature than commercially grown impatiens typically found in 4 or 6-packs. They will produce larger plants much earlier in the season, with way more colour by my July 1st benchmark.
Beacons shine the light by raising money to support research focusing on lesser known diseases, a symbolic gesture for the progress to come.

Marigolds Tagetes
Say hello to my specialty, marigolds! I grow more and more new varieties each year. To date, I have grown most that are commercially available at least once. I’m always testing new ones, and I grow my favorites repeatedly to share. They’re a customer favorite, and I’m certain you’ll find a fun one to add to your garden collection that suits your personality. Marigolds are one of the most popular companion plants that gardeners seek out for their vegetables like cucumbers and tomatoes. Here you’ll find some of the most retro classics, and the modern winners. Typically you find a few colours at your local nursery. Here, you’ll find more marigolds than anything
Did you know that commercially grown marigolds are often sprayed with chlormequat chloride and daminozide, two popular growth regulators? They result in a change to the marigold growth structure, habit, and flower timing to make the plant optimal for shipping and selling, but not for natural and sustained growth at your home.
With Tee’s Plants, You will see a level of vigor unknown to marigolds when you plant them. No pesticides, no growth regulators, no herbicides, ever. No garden is complete without at least one marigold, give them a shot! (ask my bee pals)
“French” Cultivars – 7 Premium Novelty families in 28 colours.
French marigolds are the popular bedding type marigold. They’re extremely popular for simple garden and yard decor, but are also great companion plants for your vegetables. They used to be a popular source for a natural yellow dye.
1. Superhero F1

The Award-Winning All-Star This one really lives up to its name! As a previous All-America Selections (AAS) Winner, it’s famous for being incredibly tidy and uniform. It stays compact but produces a ton of early blooms. If you want a classic, “perfect” looking marigold that stays looking great all season with almost zero effort, this is your guy. Best all around pick.
All 9 Superhero variants available.

Deep Yellow, Deep Orange, Gold, Orange Bee, Harmony, Orange, Spry, Orange Flame, Yellow Bee
2. Safari F1

The Fancy French Favorite If you like a marigold with a bit more “fluff,” you’ll love the Safari series. These have beautiful, anemone-style flowers that look much more sophisticated than your average variety. They produce large blooms on bushy plants, making them perfect for filling in borders or adding a bit of texture to your planters. Best landscaping pick. Safari Red and Tangerine are customer favorites.
Full 8-colour assortment available for 2026.
3. Zenith F1

The Heat-Defying Powerhouse This is what’s known as a “mule” or triploid marigold. Because it doesn’t spend any energy making seeds, it puts 100% of its effort into making massive flowers. It’s incredibly heat-tolerant and will keep blooming like crazy right through the hottest Dresden summer days until the first hard frost. It’s basically the marathon runner of the marigold world! Full assortment for 2026. (New for Trial 2026)
4. Fireball

The Color-Changing Magic Trick This is a total showstopper and a huge favorite for a reason. The flowers actually change color as they age! They start out a deep, fiery bronze-red and slowly transition to a bright gold. Since the plant is always producing new buds, you’ll have a mix of three or four different colors all on the same plant at once. It’s like a sunset in a pot. Extreme novelty.
5. Strawberry Blonde

The Sophisticated Pastel Similar to Fireball, this variety offers a stunning color-shifting effect but in much softer, “shabby chic” tones. You’ll see a beautiful blend of rosy pink, sandy yellow, and creamy primrose. It’s perfect if you want the hardiness of a marigold but prefer a more subtle, trendy color palette for your garden beds. Extreme novelty.
6. Mango Tango
– Tee’s Plants Marigold of the Year!

The Tropical Twist If you want a marigold that feels like a vacation, this is the one. It features stunning, bi-color blooms with a mix of zesty orange and deep mahogany-red that really does look like a ripe mango. It stays nice and compact, but the flowers are surprisingly large and “puffy” (anemone-style). It’s a great way to add a bit of exotic, tropical energy to your garden without any extra work. Amazing petal contrast, great for solo planting.
7. Happy

The Early Bird True to its name, this variety is designed to bring a smile to your face as quickly as possible. It’s one of the fastest marigolds to reach full bloom, so you don’t have to wait around for color. It stays very low (6-7″) to the ground and bushy, making it the ideal choice for “edging” along a walkway or the front of a flower bed.
Top choice for blending with small pots. 4 colour assortment, including a mini-spry.
8. Burning Embers

The Wildfire Heirloom This one is a total standout because it doesn’t grow like a typical “short” marigold. It has long, elegant stems and a bit of a wilder, more graceful look. The flowers are a deep, smoldering red with thin golden edges, almost like glowing coals. Because it’s taller and has more of a “wildflower” vibe, it’s a favorite for pollinators and looks incredible when the wind catches it in a garden bed.
9. Alumia Vanilla Cream
The Cool and Creamy Classic If you’re looking for something a bit more sophisticated, this is it. Instead of the usual bright neon oranges, Vanilla Cream offers large, “puffy” blooms in a soft, buttery ivory. It’s part of the Alumia series, so you know it’ll stay nice and uniform, but that pale, dreamy color makes it look very high-end. It’s the perfect choice for a “moon garden” or for mixing with purples and blues in a patio pot.
WOW picked up marigolds during the Dresden yard sale, by far best flower ive had in forever. 6 marigolds in different colors in one pot, never seen half of them before!

Y.B. Dresden Gardener, 2025
“African” Cultivars
These large dense blooms strike your eyes with bright petals, and your nose with a unique floral scent. These are all hybrid F1 African types, bred especially for certain desirable characteristics. Read and select carefully depending on your intended application for the best impact and value.
1. Antigua F1

The “Little Giant” Height: 10–12″ (Dwarf/Compact) This is the specific choice for maximum colour in minimum space. What makes the Antigua unique is its flower-to-plant ratio: it stays incredibly short and stocky, yet it pumps out the same massive, 3-inch blooms as the giant varieties. Because the flowers often cover the foliage entirely, it creates a solid carpet of colour that is perfect for windy spots or edging the very front of your garden borders.
2. Inca II

The “Anti-Flop” Classic Height: 12–14″ (Compact) The Inca II is famous for one specific trait: it stands its ground. While other large-flowered marigolds can get top-heavy and tip over in a summer storm, these have genetically thick, sturdy stems that hold the massive double blooms straight up. They stay a manageable, uniform height, making them the perfect choice for keeping your pots and borders looking tidy without any sprawl.
3. Marvel II

The Bushy Bloomer Height: 16–18″ (Medium) What sets the Marvel II apart is its superior branching. Unlike older African marigolds that grow a single “stick” before flowering, these branch out early to create a lush, wide mound that covers the soil quickly. Standing a bit taller than the Incas, they are fantastic for filling gaps in flower beds because just one plant takes up a lot of visual space with huge, high-impact blooms.
4. Big Duck Orange

The “Huge Bloom, Short Plant” Wonder
Height: 10–15″ (Naturally Compact) Don’t let the name fool you, this plant stays low to the ground! The “Big” refers strictly to the flowers, which are absolutely massive, sometimes covering the entire top of the plant. Unlike older varieties that need to grow tall to support big flowers, the Big Duck is genetically compact. It’s perfect for mass planting in beds where you want a solid carpet of orange without any “leggy” stems showing.
5. Coco

The Cut-Flower King Height: 36–45″ (Very Tall) While the others are for bedding, the Coco series is born for bouquets. These are bred specifically for height, shooting up to nearly 4 feet tall with long, straight stems that are perfect for cutting. If you want to bring that golden summer colour inside to your kitchen table, this is the professional florist’s choice. Best planted at the very back of the garden!
Deep Orange and Deep Yellow available.
No one ever has the marigolds you do. Maybe 3 colours if I’m lucky. I got a 6-pack from *store* but they didn’t catch up by Canada Day to yours. More big ones, and red ones next year please!

“Gem/Signet”
- Orange Gem –

THE edible marigold. Its foliage smells like a lovely citrus accident when disturbed. Blooms very intensely and pollinators love to visit. Thanks to the unique growth structure, they make excellent cutflowers and will continue to bloom in a vase for a while. - Yellow Gem –

Similar to its orange buddy, but very yellow indeed! - Starfire –

Take a gamble and see what it resolves to. Similar to Orange and Yellow gem, Starfire tends to express more unique individual characteristics like fiery bicolour tones. Back for the first time since 2019.
Petunias
Petunias are an easy way to build colour into your garden, and they’re pretty much #1 for hanging baskets and planters. There are so many varieties available, it’s hard to choose just a couple! You can mix-and-match for a custom look, or use a consistent colour for standout contrast Tee’s Plants offers the super popular Wave petunias, and always has some unique others that have been tested to collect compliments for you!
NO growth regulators or other harmful sprays, unlike the others!

1. Wave Petunia

The classic Wave Petunia is a favorite! The original, it has a vigorous, low spreading habit that quickly reaches 2 to 4 feet across! Stems trail outward to form a wide, cascading mound that fills space fast in baskets, containers, or the garden. Blooms appear along the full length of the stems and continue from late spring to frost with little care. A reliable, heat tolerant option for bold color and quick coverage.
Purple Classic and Misty Lilac available for 2026.
2. Easy Wave Petunia

Tee’s Signature Combo
Easy Wave offers a more controlled, mounding habit that stays fuller and neater than classic spreading types. Plants grow 8 to 12 inches tall and spread up to 2.5 feet, creating a rounded shape that works in containers, baskets, and garden beds. Blooms are abundant and long lasting, keeping color strong from spring to frost. Dependable, heat tolerant, and easy to grow for consistent performance all season long too.
Assortment available for 2026.
3. Shock Wave Petunia

Shock Wave delivers a tight, dense spreading habit with smaller, rain tolerant blooms that hold up better in rough weather. Plants stay compact at 7 to 10 inches tall while spreading up to 2.5 feet, creating a low carpet of color. The smaller flowers recover quickly after rain and keep blooming from spring to frost. Excellent for baskets, combo planters, and fast, even coverage in the garden.
Assortment available for 2026.
4. Tidal Wave Petunia

Tidal Wave is the most vigorous petunia in the Wave series, forming an extra large, hedge like mound or a massive spreading carpet depending on spacing. Plants can reach 16 to 22 inches tall and spread 3 to 4 feet, filling big areas quickly. Strong stems hold their shape, even in wind and rain. Constant blooming from spring to frost makes it ideal for bold landscape impact and large statement containers.
Red Velour, Silver, Purple, Cherry available for 2026.
5. Sophistica

Sophistica petunias feature large, unique blooms beyond the typical. The one-of-a-kind patterns and shades stand out against the rest, and are true designer choices for your planters.
Blackberry, Lime, and Antique Shades available for 2026.
6. Caliburst Yellow

Caliburst Yellow aren’t just your regular petunia, they’re actually a petchoa! (Meaning half-petunia, half-calibrachoa)! They’re grown just like a regular petunia though, and behave quite similarly! But what makes them special is they’re one of the best yellow petunias you can buy. They pair very nicely with basically every other sun-loving annual, and look stunning with red, pink, and purple petunias nearby!
7. FotoFinish

FotoFinish petunias take their namesake seriously. They bloom very quickly, and are a perfect match for our latitude. We trialed them together in 2025, and for 2026, they’re the secret sauce for my Canada Day planters. The simple, yet bright blooms are exactly what you want for basic colour combination planters. They are especially selected because they have amazing flower timing, ensuring they look perfect just in time for July 1st.
Vegetables
I now offer a smaller, curated selection of award winning and customer favorites, to dedicate more resources to growing annuals and perennials.
For 2026, the vegetable selections are:
Tomato – Celebrity F1 – The premier garden beefsteak tomato, hands down. It produces uniform picturesque tomatoes on semi-indeterminate vines! You get to enjoy slightly extended harvests combined with impressive yields. It’s an easy choice to grow celebrity after my trials.
Tomato – Sungold F1 – The beloved orange cherry tomato. Quickly grows into quite the tomato factory, and is regarded as the best cherry tomato by countless reviewers. The only reason it’s not sold at the grocery store is because it ships terribly.
Pepper – Jalapeno M – Bullet shaped jalapenos on sturdy plants producing more than you could probably ask for. Of course, matures to a fiery red for an impressive chipotle.
Pepper – King of the North – If red sweet peppers are your goal, this one is the best candidate for you in our northern latitude. Harvest slightly earlier if you want green peppers.
Pepper – Chile de Arbol – Ultimate heirloom Mexican chili pepper. Reasonably translated too, “Chili from Tree”, this cultivar looks great in the garden and has countless uses. Very easy to harvest with great yields.
Watermelon – Sugar Baby – This customer favorite is easy to grow and provides very sweet, dark green icebox watermelons. Easier to manage than massive watermelons, leading to more tasty fruit to enjoy.
Zucchini – Dessert F1 – Extremely uniform dark green short zucchini. Produces so many zucchini you will be scared.
Zucchini – Yellowfin F1 – Extremely uniform yellow short zucchini. It will also make you sick of zucchini after a while, since you’ll have a pile to eat every week.
Perennials
Take pride in knowing that these perennials are grown close to you. They are grown in, and especially for our local region! No long truck rides, or risk of environmental contamination like pest introduction and spread!
